Busy airspace to the north of El Toro would pose air traffic control risks. Planes approaching Southern California airports would intersect with departing fights from El Toro.
This would cause delays across the country at best, and at worst could lead to a deadly accident.
A senior FAA official said this airport is like driving the wrong way on the freeway at rush hour. |
