Upcoming Elections

In their proposal for a $500,000 publicity blitz for an airport at El Toro, Nelson Communications Group writes, “Over the next three years in Orange County, there will be at least three county supervisorial elections, seven elections for state assembly and senate seats, five congressional contests, and more than 90 city council races. The reuse of El Toro will be the single hottest issue in every election in the south and a mid-range issue in the north. In addition, the intensity of the issue is likely to generate a third countywide ballot proposition, in all likelihood positioned and promoted by a sophisticated and savvy group of airport opponents.”
