In September, Taxpayers for Responsible Planning became a membership organization. This was done to help focus our efforts on MCAS El Toro and to give the organization increased political power.

The success of Taxpayers for Responsible Planning in stopping the proposed international airport at El Toro is directly dependent on the strength of our voice. As a membership organization, Taxpayers for Responsible Planning needs members. Typically, groups with memberships between 1,000 and 2,000 dues paying members exert considerable power. The goal of TRP is to have 10,000 members within the next six months and 20,000 members within a year. At that size, we can succeed in our fight for sensible development of El Toro. We need your help to reach our goals. If you are not a member, join today. If you are a member get everyone you can to join.

The basic yearly dues are $25 per year, with $50, $100 and $500 categories available. Any additional contributions will be welcomed. Funds are used to pay for this newsletter, operating expenses, lobbying expenses, and for hiring experts in land use and legal matters.
